The Afterparty at Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte: An Evening of Opulence and Enchantment

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the celebration at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte transformed into an unforgettable afterparty that left guests spellbound.

Guests were invited to take a trip in vintage-style trains, setting the tone for an enchanting evening. As they arrived, a breathtaking drone show featuring horses lit up the sky; a mesmerizing prelude to what was to come.

The château’s gardens came alive with thousands of flickering candles and illuminated fountains, casting a romantic glow over the entire estate. Guests gathered on a specially designed platform, wrapped in luxurious pashminas, sipping hot chocolate and espresso martinis, as the night sky erupted in a dazzling display of artistry. Monumental Tour,Michael Canitrot in collaboration with the renowned Fireworks PPL, presented an awe-inspiring DJ mixing, video mapping and laser light spectacle.

 

Inside: A Bold, Edgy Wonderland

Stepping inside, guests entered a striking world inspired by a classic game of chess, the bride and groom’s favorite game, reimagined with avant-garde flair. The design was bold and monochromatic, with a black-and-white palette that echoed the elegance of a chessboard.

Towering sculptures of a King and Queen stood guard, while a custom-built DJ booth of cut-edge mirror contrasted dramatically with the timeless grandeur of the château. Here, global music icon Calvin Harris commanded the dance floor with an unforgettable set.

A lavish dessert buffet took center stage in the château’s historic library, curated by Bastien Blanc Tailleur. Inspired by both classic French patisserie and whimsical Disney fantasies, the spread included exquisite éclairs, tartes, and other sweet masterpieces.

Elevating the magic even further were couture “cake dresses”  wearable confections custom-designed by NuArt and worn by elegant performers who glided among the guests.

It was more than an afterparty — it was a sensory journey through fantasy.
