Destination Wedding in Provence

Domaine Saumane-de-Vaucluse is a classic Provence home located an hour and a half from Marseille Airport or just thirty minutes from the Avignon train station (arrive via a TGV fast speed train). The property oozes with charm, starting at the incredible forged steel gate followed by a long row of Cyprus trees and lavender fields. A dream for a destination wedding in Provence, Domaine Saumane-de-Vaucluse has a bit of elegance, organic grandeur, and a welcoming nature you’d expect to experience from a loved one’s residence.

The home itself has lovely Provencal décor and stone architecture, a picturesque backdrop for a sublime destination wedding in Provence. Up to 100 guests can enjoy a ceremony set in the scenery of ruins with a massive wall that was built in the 16th century. But with 40 acres of land behind the beautiful gates, you have more than a few choices for your oh-so special wedding settings.

Cocktails can be served in the various gardens of your choosing, followed by dinner in an area with a central fountain surrounded by olive trees and elegant landscaping.

No matter which spots you select, the property overall boasts magnificent views of the Luberon National Park, a sight to see in itself!

For late night celebrations, music is allowed until 1am. In the event of rain, a structure in the flat grass area will need to be built, but it can be just as beautiful as dinning al fresco here. And for those who wish to celebrate beyond the wedding day, we love to plan brunch picnics in the lavender fields or olive tree groves close by. (We transport the guests in citroen 2CV Provence-style cars to enhance the experience.) Or, if you prefer, you can always arrive via helicopter since the property is equipped with its own helipad.

Must Know Before You Book: The venue has a minimum stay of one week. If you’re interested in booking a destination wedding in Provence during busier months like July or August, typically the rental requirement is two weeks, from Saturday to Saturday.

Alejandra Poupel Insider Tip: The town of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is delightful with charming galleries and a picturesque style perfect for a stroll before the big day or an organized outing with your group.
