When celebrating in Greece, the outdoors are always a great idea. And an outdoor Greece wedding at a historical castle is that much more spectacular! This gorgeous Grecian destination wedding took place at Pyrgos Melissourgou. The location isn’t far from Athens city centre, but worlds away from the hustle and bustle. It was the idyllic backdrop for a lemon-clad intimate event celebrating the love of two of our cherished clients. 

About the Design

We embraced the natural surroundings when designing the details of the day. With lemons and olive trees in abundance, guests certainly knew where they were when they arrived! Then we peppered in lavender sprigs and kumquat sprinkled throughout for added texture and pops of color. 

During dinner, guests dined at two long floral-clad tables. Set beneath twinkle lights, the look created a feeling of romance and intimacy. We embraced this smaller guest count and used lighting to shrink the space. No matter how grand the venue, the group still felt connected and warmly welcomed. That was certainly important to our clients and us.

Colored glassware added dimension to the tablescape. While local favors adorned the place settings for a hint of whimsey and entertainment. They also doubled as place cards, making them festive and functional.

Instead of a sweetheart table, these clients opted for floral-adorned sweetheart chairs. This allowed them to feel more connected to their guests and take time during dinner to chat with their most cherished loved ones.

At all of our events, we make entertainment a highlight and focal point. And this night was no exception. With a famed DJ and floral and neon DJ booth to get the party started, the night went into the early hours of the morning. 

The four-tiered wedding cake was displayed by the pool, giving guests something to look forward to at the end of the night. This property was perfect for an intimate outdoor Greece wedding where family and friends were the focus.
