A backdrop for the Hollywood hit, Ocean’s Twelve, this incredible chateau is nestled in the most amazing area of Lake Como Cernobbio (a special little town located on the northwest side). With its grand architecture, palatial interiors, ornate ceilings, and golden gilded décor, this venue will surely dazzle your most discerning wedding guests.
The villa also boasts several elegant grassy gardens with stunning views of Lake Como, perfect for a wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or even dinner al fresco if weather permits. The villa has varous areas to choose from, each with its own amazing views of the lake. For dancing, the property offers a grand foyer with adjacent rooms, that all connect to the terraces and gardens.
One of the many perks of this wedding venue is that a bride and/or groom can arrive by boat directly from the water for a truly grand entrance! Guests staying off property can also have a water entrance, should you choose to plan for boat arrivals.
For larger groups, couples can host a seated dinner for up up to 400 guests. In order to achieve this, a tent should be built outside for a dancing area and ceremony. And I love a marquis crystal tent in this location! For smaller groups, up to 220 guests, there are multiple rooms available, each with their own character and style. Though I suggest keeping the center room as the main dancing area, in order to reunite your guests for the key moments like the first dance, cutting of the cake, and late night celebrating! With the rare luxury of dancing until 5am at Villa Erba, this location is perfect for late night crowds.
Booking price depends on number of guests, so determine your appropriate guest count before you inquire. And if your design plan includes building a structure in the gardens, make sure to book at least 3 nights before in order to set up and a few extra nights after for the crew’s teardown. As soon as you have a date in mind, make your inquiry as this Lake Como wedding venue books up a year in advance!
BONUS TIP: Villa Erba has a list of preferred vendors for florals, light and sound, and catering that you are required to use. But have no fear, they are the absolute best in the area anyway and there is a selection to choose from based on your taste. Luckily, you are allowed to work with a wedding planner (like us) to come in and manage their teams.

If your group is approximately 200 guests, you will need to use multiple rooms inside, each decorated down to the finest detail, but each very unique. I encourage our clients to work with a talented event designer to create incredible decor that fits the unique character of each room. For example, there’s a room of red and gold murals that we focus a red palette of design and floral in. For the blush colored room with huge Murano chandeliers and soft-paletted murals, we create something completely different. This gives the guests something unexpected to discover as they visit each new space with a new design.
