Today, I share the second part of this extravagant wedding reception at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap Ferrat.

Once the couple had chosen to hold their wedding at the Grand-Hotel du Cap Ferrat, an emblematic five-star hotel as a meeting place, we decided to rent it out entirely for their 450 guests. We were thus able to have the entire property for ourselves. This allowed us to erect the structure of the crystal tent on the main lawn.

Eric Chauvin, our event designer, was the first florist to use flowers hanging from the Christian Dior show. Our client had attended, and it inspired her to create her entire wedding décor in the same way. The result? 7m high ceilings filled with cascading flowers in pink and blush tones. The layout of the tables was both grandiose and extremely delicate. They reached from 2m to 4m high, and were composed of magnificent variations of small roses.

It took our team of 180 people six days to complete the installation for this wedding reception at the Grand-Hotel du Cap Ferrat.

This included 70 florists, working day and night during the last four days before the wedding. However, we wanted to make sure that the guests were surprised that day. To prevent them from taking a sneak peek while we were working, we covered our structure with an stretch fabric. It looked like a giant Tiffany packaging, which guests could see from their balconies.

As the entire 600 m ceiling of the tent would be covered with hanging flowers, which are very heavy, it was important to provide a reinforced structure and a floor covering that could support the weight. To deliver all this equipment through a maze of gardens, we used a helicopter carrier specialized in transporting equipment to hard-to-reach areas. Everything went smoothly!

While guests sat at their kosher meal, they were entertained by two exceptional performances.

Patrick Bruel is a French icon and our bride loves him, that’s why we hired him to give a mini concert for the guests. He personalized many of the lyrics to his iconic songs, so that he sang them directly to the couple and family. He enthused all the guests and made them dance next to the tables – even international visitors who didn’t know him!

Between the starter and main course, singer Tamara also performed her fusion of Latin, lyrical and pop music. Our bride loves her romantic and touching songs.

Finally, we had a group of 28 musicians, including 18 violins and trumpets. They made the guests dance all night long! I will share the details of the incredible after party in my next post.
