Today I wanted to re-introduce myself. It’s been a while since I shared a look into my company and me. While I love sharing our clients’ events here on the blog, I also like to connect with people on a very personal level. I’m Alejandra Poupel. I am a destination wedding planner in France, living in Paris. I was born in Nicaragua, educated in the United States and I raise my children here in the most magical city in Europe. My team and I produce destination weddings across Europe and beyond, for clients who are French, Lebanese, Chinese, Middle eastern, American and people who truly come from all around the globe. I think that’s what I love most about my job, it’s the human connection, getting to know so many incredible people and be inspired by so many different stories. It’s where a lot of my creativity comes from. And creativity is key in the events I produce.

Behind the scenes at Alejandra Poupel Events, we embrace a challenge so that we never say the word no.

We’ve built small event cities in the desert and fountains where no water previously existed. We buyout hotels and build structures for a week before an event. We produce weddings in famous monuments where weddings can’t take place. If you were to ask me what our speciality is, I would say it’s producing fanciful parties and weddings in famous monuments and historic castles in Europe. If the property isn’t a wedding venue, we make it so.

Our clients come from all over the world. As destination wedding planners, it’s important that we understand, know and honor the unique traditions and values of each and every family we meet. From hiring staff that falls in line with religious requirements to making sure every menu item is exactly as it should be, no detail is ever too big or small for us to manage.

Our process is one that typically begins with location scouting anywhere in the world our clients want to go. Proper budget understanding is key so we create a simulation based on requests. Then we track status weekly with our event hosts. Early on, we present a road map of the planning so you know exactly what to expect, when. From there, vendor presentations, design inspirations including 3D renderings, drawings, floor plans and even backstage details are created.

The design process is one of the most special parts. We create lifelike pieces of art to fully express the concepts being presented. From there, we tweak and finalize and ultimately bring the collaborative vision to life. If you can dream it, we create it. And if you can’t dream it, then we do that for you too! Not only do I love the design and flow I created in my workspace, but beyond the space, the work truly invigorates me.
