When it comes to weddings, few events rival the grandeur of the three-day celebration that unfolded in the enchanting backdrop of Paris and its surroundings. In partnership with Debbie Geller Events and some of the world’s best event professionals, this monumental affair blended unparalleled expertise with extraordinary vision. With my insider access to Parisian landmarks, I had the privilege of being the European planning partner in this awe-inspiring journey, where every detail was crafted to perfection.
From the outset, the collaboration between Debbie Geller, Paige Blatt, and myself was seamless. Debbie’s professionalism and enthusiasm set the stage for a partnership built on mutual respect and shared creativity. With a wealth of connections in Paris and a keen understanding of large-scale event logistics, we assembled a team of top-tier creative partners who excelled in delivering innovative solutions.
This event demanded meticulous planning and coordination, with two comprehensive production meetings to establish minute-by-minute timelines for setup and teardown. Roadblocks for parking and strict schedules required precision, as we catered to hundreds of staff members daily, ensuring that every logistical challenge became an opportunity for triumph.
The wedding festivities commenced with a vibrant welcome dinner at the Musée des Arts Forains, a vintage circus museum. Drawing inspiration from the playful atmosphere of the venue, we transformed the gardens into a colorful paradise. Collaborating with the Lead Artistic Director of the event and Designer of Roni Floral Design, Nicolas Barelier, who produced detailed sketches of custom structures that were built especially for this event.
Once our vision was made plain on paper, Nuart, our creative partner, was able to bring his artistic vision to life through breathtaking aerial performances featuring acrobats and musicians entertaining guests from above. We created a custom structure allowing spectacular aerial displays (while maintaining safety and aesthetic harmony with the museum’s enchanting environment) as guests indulged in elevated comfort food, including truffle pizzas and gourmet snacks—all served on a mesmerizing, moving lollipop table.
This unique blend of art and atmosphere set a tone of wonder and excitement.
This wedding was not just an event; it was a three-day spectacle that encapsulated the essence of love and celebration. It brought together an incredible team: 900 staff members, 45 artisans for costume making, 115 talented performers for entertainment, 400 florists, plus 5,000 hours of confection-making—all contributing to an unforgettable experience.
From carefully curated details to breathtaking performances and cutting-edge decor, every moment reflected the couple’s journey and love story.
Stay tuned as we unveil all the gorgeous details in this four-part series.
