This nearly 2,000-seat opera house was completed in 1875 to house the Paris Opera. Architect, Charles Garnier built the masterpiece full of opulence, hence the name. Noted as the most magnificent opera house in the world, it’s now a monument and spectacular place for celebrations.
The grand staircase is a focal point of this setting, a perfect place for the cake to be set on display or welcome opera singers to entertain the guests below. We’ve even brought in dancers and other forms of entertainment and used the center of the stairs as a stage. I also love to dress the staircases in elaborate florals dripping from floor to ceiling. It’s simply breathtaking. Even welcoming your guests down these stairs in their gowns is a sight to see.
Then, I recommend the Avant Foyer for cocktails, followed by dinner in the Grand Foyer (for groups up to 300). Dancing or after parties are best held downstairs in the Rotonde des Abonnés. Your guests will love the artwork that surrounds them and the golden gilded mosaics and sculptures. It’s a fantastically grand sight to see.

What to Know Before You Book: This Paris monument is open to the public. It can be closed for a fee for setup but all the rules in place to protect the artwork need to be strictly followed. All furniture must be fireproofed and every part of the flooring protected. The venue also requires well-organized planning, including a final floor plan, itinerary, and entertainment schedule to be submitted for approval one month prior to the event.

We often use the ballerinas and musicians such as violinists, of the Opera house troop for event entertainment. They are truly magical and of incredible quality. We place them on the staircase, sometimes with an opera singer and welcome guests upon their arrival.
For this moment, I position our photographers and videographers from one special location on one of the balconies where they are able to capture the best shots of the grand staircase and entire area. The lighting on the ceiling and arches give an incredible addition to the impact.
