We are based in Paris, France, but we work across the Globe as destination event planners. We often work in the South of France in the summer, and we are most often in Italy and Greece.
All of my pricing is bespoke, depending on what is required. Complete planning and design is based on a percentage of the overall spend. For more intimate events and individual services, I will quote based on the scope of the event and the time required of my team and I.
What event planning packages do you offer?
I'm not a fan of 'On The Day' coordination, as this leaves so much to chance. As a planner, you are not in control or often unaware of what was discussed throughout the planning process. You are reactive, which is never a great place for a planner!
Do you offer day-of wedding coordination?
We have worked in the most prestigious venues in Europe, including many private estates including Opera Garnier, Rodin Museum, Chateau Vaux le Vicomte in Paris, Villa Ephrussi, Hotel du Cap, Four seasons St Jean Cap Ferrat, Hotel du Gordes, Chateau Puyricard, and Villa Saumane in the South of France and Villa Erba, Villa Pizzo in Lake Como and Four Seasons and Island Art and Taste and Pyrgos Melissgourou in Greece. The list goes on. . .
What venues have you worked at before?
Clients feel we are connected, enthusiastic, elegant, creative, and willing to adjust when changes need to be made. Our parties are chic but consistently over the top fun with surprises at every turn. Most importantly, I listen and work very hard to try to bring the client's vision to life.
What makes your planning style unique? How would past clients describe working with you?
We are dedicated to ensuring the success of your event from start to finish, and members of our team are always on-site to make sure every moment of the event goes smoothly. The number of staff required on site is dependent upon the scale and scope of the event.
How many people from your team will be on-site during my event?
My clients usually have incredible taste, and we have met some of our present trusted vendors when our clients refer us to high-quality creative partners. We would make sure that the vendor agrees to work with us before the event as we are accustomed to a lot of preparation work and would want to ensure they have our "teamwork is dream work" mentality.
If you are my event planner, will you work with a vendor I have already chosen?
The number of event producers from our team varies from event to event. Still, at a minimum, you can expect me as the lead planner and designer and at least two event producers plus two associates on a typical event day.
How many event producers will be working on my event?
We are always scouting for stunning venues in Europe and around the Globe. Our many years of networking and friendships allow us to deliver insider access to the most sought-after locations!
How do you go about finding beautiful venues?
I have worked in Christie's art auction house, which gave me an aesthetic eye, and then I paused my professional life to raise my family. During those lovely years, I worked on many non-profit events as a volunteer, and organically I was drawn towards the event planning field. Event planning joins my passions of constantly connecting with people, traveling, and renewing visions and unique memories!
Why did you start your event planning company?
The cost of an event or wedding varies depending on your expectations and the scope of the event. We will guide you by creating a budget simulation that includes the estimated costs for the venue, event design, furniture rentals, stationery, event staff such as hostesses, entertainment and bands, photography and videography, and structures such as orangeries or tents. Depending on the number of guests and the venue and country, these numbers vary. Typically our events range with approximately 3,000 per person.
What is the cost of a luxury event wedding?
We are based in Paris, France, but we work across the Globe as destination event planners. We often work in the South of France in the summer, and we are most often in Italy and Greece.
Where do you organise events?
PRIORITIZING INNOVATION
AP Events prioritizes social responsibility and places sustainability efforts at the forefront of their work as an organization.
Innovation and audacity have been the keys to Alejandra’s success. Her ability to set trends rather than follow them makes her one of the most sought-after event planners across Europe.
MINIMIZING CARBON FOOTPRINT
Alejandra carefully chooses the partners she works with to minimize environmental impact, resulting in numerous AP Events becoming ISO 2021 certified. The light and sound production companies that Alejandra collaborates with exclusively use LED lighting, which is 80% more energy-efficient than conventional bulbs. The production companies strive to use innovative equipment that saves energy. Most of her hotel partners have obtained LEED Certification, and nearly all transportation companies use hybrid energy vehicles to move around guests.
Alejandra has partnered with the Anne Fontaine Foundation, allowing her clients to offset the carbon footprint generated by their event through planting a set amount of trees in the Brazilian rainforests.
GREEN OFFICE SPACE
AP Events believes in creating an eco-friendly office space. She holds both herself and her employees accountable to high sustainability standards. For example, specially installed bathroom fixtures reduce water usage by 20%, saving over 1 million gallons of water annually. The AP events team also reduced their lighting power usage by 25% in 2021, and plan to surpass that goal in 2022. Moreover, the office is designed to encourage employees to recycle and compost waste.
PROMOTING A CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Recycling is extremely important to Alejandra, and she seeks to recycle materials whenever possible. Alejandra strives to repurpose the floral decor after her events. Clients compost and repurpose flowers that would otherwise be thrown away and wasted by partnering with the Garbage Goddess and the Reflower Project.
The Garbage Goddess composts flowers into fertilizer, creating topsoil that allows new living things to thrive and grow. Moreover, the Reflower Project repurposes flowers and delivers them to community centers such as non-profits, shelters, nursing homes, and cancer centers.
By choosing sustainable options and leading by example, we hope that other party planners will be inspired to take action and do the same.
