Born at the Château des Ferrières in the south west of Paris, Baroness Beatrix de Rothschild commissioned this lavish, Palladian-style residence, built between 1905 and 1912.

Located on the famed Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula, today the estate houses Beatrix de Rothschild’s art collection, mainly composed of works from the 18th century. Guests at this South of France wedding venue can admire pieces by renowned names from the period such as Boucher, Fragonard, Coypel, Schall, Tiepolo, Dubois, Riesner and Hache. However, the villa is still a museum during the day, so wedding guests can only access it beginning at 7pm (8pm in July and August).

There are lovely spots on property for the ceremony and cocktails, depending on the number of guests. Either an ocean view or throughout the luscious elegant gardens are our favorite options. The garden foundations and remarkable vegetation make the perfect backdrop for a destination wedding. The French-style garden is the perfect place for events beneath the stars for up to 300 guests with a seated dinner al fresco. All of the gardens are a la Francaise and impeccably maintained with the pale pink villa in the background. For smaller groups, less than 80 guests, the ceremony can be held in the Florentine Terrace, where guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean as the backdrop.

Background music is permitted on the terrace until midnight, then guests can move inside for an after party under the arches. In case of rain, the villa can offer an interior space for a seated dinner for up to 200 guests with dancing in the tearoom adjacent. Or, for up to 150 guests with a band and dance floor area, one main area interior can be used. For larger groups, a structure can be built for up to 350 guests, though an advance plan to rent the villa for multiple nights for install and tear down would be required.
