That being said, it’s the best of all worlds - this monumental historic property is great for not only a relaxing stay but lively entertainment too!
The villa (with ocean and mountain views) was designed by the renowned architect Andre Svetchine and offers approximately 1.200 sqm of living space plus several very large (covered) terraces. The property is completely private with extensive security facilities for those who need additional confidentiality. With 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms plus separate caretaker/guest accommodations, it’s well suited for family living, whilst at the same time offering enormous variety for large-scale weddings. I suggest guests stay in the domain of “Les Hauts de Saint Paul,” the exclusive forested residential area situated just west of the well-known medieval village of Saint Paul. The village is famous for its art galleries and excellent restaurants, so plan extra time to explore.
Ideal for a destination wedding in the South of France, Domaine Des Lys has been painstakingly renovated over the last couple of years using top quality materials and workmanship. It is now in pristine condition to welcome you!
I love the idea of cocktails poolside or close to the olive tree gardens before a magical dinner al fresco in the flat grass area (for 350 guests or more). If it rains, a structure would need to be built (for groups larger than 100 guests). But rain or shine, you will not be disappointed with this destination wedding in the South of France!
During high season (July and August), if you want to host a destination wedding at this villa, there is a minimum rental of 1 or 2 weeks, depending on the date.
I like to organize brunches at the famous La Colombe d'Or Hotel and Restaurant and plan photo shoots for the guests in the village since every corner is a Instagrammable moment in St Paul de Vence. On the land you will find several stone-crafted walls stemming back to ancient Roman times, which adds an extra element of charm for a backdrop for the ceremony or Instagram photo. Build in time for photography here!
