The story of Chaumet, the iconic jeweler of the Place Vendôme, began in 1780. For more than two centuries, it has continually embodied creativity and excellence.
The founder, Marie-Etienne Nitot, was Emperor Napoleon I’s official jeweler and created tiaras and formal jewelry for Empress Josephine and, later, Empress Marie-Louise. The savoir-faire has been passed down from generation to generation, and is a testimony to the creativity and excellence that define the House.
It all started during the 18th century, with the love story between Napoléon and Joséphine, and ever since Chaumet has always placed happiness at the heart of its creations. This year, the Maison Chaumet decided to dedicate a new intimate space to the celebration of love and passion.
On the 24th of September, at the 12, Place Vendôme, the Musée Ephémère has been replaced by a setting created specially to welcome lovers and make their projects become real.
From imperial tiaras to the Aigrette ring that crowns the finger, Chaumet‘s creations pay tribute to the bond between two soulmates, marking the most important and precious milestones: engagement rings, wedding bands, tiaras…
To make those days very special, a range of exclusive services are offered to the lovers, from the possibility to create a special order tiara or to organise a fitting of the jewellery pieces with the wedding gown, to the extraordinary escapades in the heart of the romantic Parisian tradition.
