Valentine’s Day may be around the corner, it is not too late gentlemen, to make this day unforgettable for your sweetheart. If you are planning to spend the day in Paris, you are absolutely right. It is called the city of love for a reason. Here are some ideas for you to take her out in Paris. When it comes to culture or architecture you have plethora of choices. If both of you are free during the day, the Musée de la vie romantique offers a journey through time. The museum is devoted to Sand, plus Scheffer’s paintings and other mementoes of the Romantic era. A bit more cliché, but never boring, the Eiffel Tower is best seen from the Pont Alexandre III, the most beautiful Parisian bridge or from the Pont des Arts, also known as the love locks bridge (although the love locks have been removed for security reasons). The Cour Carrée du Louvre is by far the Louvre’s most romantic area.

And as for Notre Dame, stand on the Pont de l’Archevêché (at the back of the cathedral) for a beautiful view. Or you can always hop on the Ferris wheel on Place de la Concorde. The latter offers a 360° view of Paris: good set for a memorable romantic moment.

The Chanel spa

After such a day, indulge yourself with a massage à deux at the new Chanel Spa in the Ritz hôtel. You will be perfectly relaxed to enjoy a romantic diner with your other half. No need to go back outside in the cold since the Ritz hosts the great restaurant “L’Espadon“, offering a gastronomic experience designed to surprise and delight.

Indulge yourself with a moment of tenderness and a Chanel signature treatment.

La table de l’Espadon – A story of love, cuisine and flavors in which the product is king and the service royal.

And if you want to go wild, then… why not booking a room ? I bet your sweetheart will love the Marias Callas suite and its so romantic white and pink shades.

Marias Callas’ glamorous aura and legendary romanticism live on in her namesake Prestige Suite.

Besides L’Espadon, Paris does not lack excellent restaurants, so here is a selection of my favorites.

Apicius

Apicius welcomes you in a cosy atmosphere, serving fine dishes that awake the palate. Bookings can be made online on the Apicius website.

The Apicius – a hidden gem in the 8th arrondissement.

La Tour d’Argent

The view from la Tour d’Argent, overlooking the Seine river, is definitely worthy. It is one of the oldest restaurants of Europe, and a four centuries old institution.

L’oiseau blanc

Last but not least, L’oiseau blanc rooftop restaurant takes gastronomy to the next level. Located on the 6th floor of the building and offering a stunning view on Paris most famous landmarks and a beautiful summer terrace, it is one of the most elegant and singular restaurant in Paris. The restaurant offers a typical French cuisine, highlighting the best of French products hand-picked everyday at the market by the Chef Here is a sneak peek of the Valentine’s day menu. Quail eggs with Petrossian caviar, truffe bun, crispy monkfish cheek with lemon – Scallop carpaccio from Port en Bessin with pink peppercorns, cauliflower purée – Wild turbot poached with cardamome, beef consommé with vintage comté cheese and foie gras – White chocalate heart, mandarin and ginger If that has made you hungry, quickly book a table online !
