Today I wanted to share a little bit behind-the-scenes at Alejandra Poupel Events. I’m a wedding planner in Paris that specializes in destination weddings around the world with a focus in Europe.
We are a full service event production, design, and destination wedding management company. Our creative planning process is one that takes the weight off of you, yet welcomes collaboration and celebration. My team and I ensure that your event is exactly as it should be and your planning process stress free and effortless, from the moment we meet until the last piece of confetti is cleared.
Our wedding planning process includes everything from venue selection and proposed budget simulation to event branding, design presentations, and technical drafts of the day. The event companies we work with are among the finest in the world. Menu tastings with renowned chefs, floral design studio sessions, and shopping with the finest couturiers in France are just of a few of the experiences to look forward to after we get started. Getting married is a celebration, therefore the process should be too.
Many of the couples we work with come from different cultures. That unique blend of you and your families, your traditions and desires are our priority. I think our special savoir faire is in our ability to blend seamlessly any cultural wishes with the art of producing an amazing event. Typically we begin with location scouting anywhere in the world you want to go.
Proper budget understanding is key, thus we create a simulation based on requests. We track budget status weekly and communicate on every aspect necessary. Early on we present a road map of your planning, so that you know exactly what to expect and when. From there, vendor presentations, design inspirations including 3D renderings, drawings, floor plans and even backstage details are created.
We navigate the event decisions with you in a collaborative approach. We negotiate contracts throughout, tracking timely payments, and even design the wedding website on your behalf.
Alejandra Poupel Events tends to every piece of the puzzle on your behalf. We keep a constant focus on your individual goals to ensure success – from the presentation of products for the welcome baskets to a detailed production timeline.

The team typically consists of 30 to 300 staff members. These staff members build tents, install flooring, hang exotic flowers from the ceiling, and handle the run of show for celebrity entertainers. In addition, they oversee the execution of a carefully crafted menu and beverage presentation, while catering to the needs of each and every valued guest.
Our goal throughout the entire APE process is to make the impossible, possible.
I believe an event should have an element of theater. I work to ensure one memorable performance after the next. We do this while communicating exactly how we make that magic happen. Finally, we encourage our clients to enjoy the show we’ve created together.

This is me, I’m Alejandra Poupel. I was born in Nicaragua, raised and educated in the United States, feel in love with a Frenchman and we raise our children in Paris.
