Here are 10 things that you need to know before your wedding day (That no one will tell you about)

• The first and the foremost thing that you need to do is take at least one week off before the wedding. Do not try and save up all your office leaves for the honeymoon. This would help you calm your nerves and you would be able to have a good time with your bridesmaids and all the out of town relatives who have come all the way to celebrate your special day with you.

• It really is OK to be selfish on your most important day of your life. You would have plenty of time later to make everyone happy, but on this day, do what you and your spouse-to-be please, because in the end it’s all that matters.

• I always recommend my clients to do the first look before the actual ceremony. Having to see your love before the nerve-racking event starts, helps you calm down and feel much more at easy during the ceremony. Plus, it makes for beautiful photos with just you two, sharing a moment together.

• Have the best band that you can in your budget, because after all it’s a big fat party and what’s a party without a great band?

10 Things That You Need To Know Before Your Wedding Day• DIY is not for the faint of heart. Although it might sound like a cost efficient and pretty idea but the effort and time that you would have to put in is really something that can take up all your energy. Try and outsource anything and everything that you can.

• I always set up meeting about the photography session with my client and the photographer so that I have a better idea what exactly would are they expecting so that there are no surprises and the photographers get the clicks that YOU want and they are very well prepared.

• Do NOT skip on the videographer. The day that you have been anticipating for, for so long, will go by in a whiff and you will miss out on the little things like the speeches, the laughters, the dances, that you would definitely want to see again.

10 Things That You Need To Know Before Your Wedding Day• Don’t forget to have breakfast! Usually with our clients, we have the whole day scheduled for the bride and groom and the accompaniers and the most important thing for the bride is to have a god wholesome breakfast. No one feels glamorous with an empty stomach.

• We, at Alejandra Poupel Events and Design, make sure we are prepared for everything and have everything from a contingency plan for sudden weather changes to bobby-pins for any hairdo touchup that you might need during the shoot. For those who don’t have us, definitely have a go-to kit ready before the big day, just in case.

• The last but not the least, try and get an actual event manager to help you with your big day and I’m not just saying that because I am one. I am saying that because you would be surprised at how much you can do staying within your budget.
